Content Safety & Moderation Policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
This policy explains how ELARA prevents prohibited content and what happens when content is flagged. No automated system is perfect; we combine technical safeguards with reports from members.
What we prohibit
All content listed in the Acceptable Use Policy, including content involving minors, deepfakes or real people, non-consensual acts, impaired consent, incest, bestiality, animal cruelty, extreme violence, prostitution, hate speech, illegal activity, professional advice and copyright infringement.
Preventive controls
- Every companion is defined as a fictional adult, and companion instructions require all participants to be adults and forbid prohibited scenarios.
- Created companions are built only from fixed option lists; the only free text is a short name, which is checked against our safety rules.
- Before any message is sent to the AI, our server checks it against our prohibited-content rules in English and Swedish. Blocked messages never reach the AI provider.
- Every AI reply is checked on our server before it is shown. Replies that fail the check are withheld and never displayed.
- If a safety check cannot run, the message is not sent. You must accept these policies before your first AI conversation, and again whenever they change.
- Image uploads and AI image generation are not available.
Handling flagged content
When a message or reply is blocked, we record the date, account, companion and the category of the rule that matched — not the message text. Member reports are stored with the details you provide and reviewed manually by the ELARA team. We may restrict or close accounts involved in serious or repeated violations and will cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
How to report a violation
Signed-in members can report a conversation from the chat screen with the flag button: choose a reason and add optional details. Reports are private and visible only to you and the ELARA team.
